Considerations
As with semaglutide, tirzepatide is contraindicated in patients with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2, and in patients with a history of pancreatitis. It is not for use during pregnancy. Common side effects — nausea, GI upset, fatigue — are usually mild and resolve as your body adjusts.
